As I mentioned earlier today, my blog, Kiran's Corner turns 1 today!! In an effort to say a HUGE thank you to all my readers I've tied up with Jumbo Electronics to give you guys a chance to win an amazing iPad!!
All you guys have to do are the following-

Just a few things I want to clarify-
Friends of mine and Jumbo Electronics employees ARE allowed to take part. Also, we will be verifying the existence of the winner on both lists to make sure they have gone through Step 1 and Step 2. Having said that, if an email is not received by me at my Kiran's Corner email address and is sent to my work or personal account or consequently conveyed to me by word of mouth or Twitter, they will not be eligible to get into the draw.
Oh and before I get inundated with emails asking me whether this is the iPad 2, unfortunately the device has not been officially launched in the UAE yet (or any other place apart from the US for that matter) and so the one being given away is the current one available in stores.
The competition is open to anyone in the UAE and internationally too, as long as they have someone in the UAE to be able to collect their prize for them.

The competition was SOOO close, and I had already decided who was going to be the winner, till I received this entry in at 11 last night!

Pinky is here depicting the cremation of all her old phones... which is what she says she would do (and take a pic of) on winning the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini! Let's hope she doesn't really, and instead recycles her her old gadgets.

My other favourite, that unfortunately did not win due to Pinky's last minute entry, was a pic sent in by Chicco Hiranandani-

I received some really great entries- some were very interesting, and some were really beautiful photographs. But unfortunately, what I was looking for was a bit of out-of-box thinking that answered the, "What would you do on winning" part of the competition. Presenting the Kiran's Corner-Sony-Ericsson FIRST PHOTO COMPETITION!!!!

I'm THRILLED to announce Kiran's Corner's (is that correct English?) FIRST competition, aptly named the "FIRST PHOTO COMPETITION." My friends at Sony Ericsson have given me the yet-to-be released ULTRA FABULOUS Xperia X10 Mini (that I'd gotten a sneak peak of here) to give away. The phone has been winning rave reviews from people who've had a chance to play with one, and I'm telling you.. it's small, it's fully functional, and it's stunning. It runs Android OS, has full 3G, and a 5 megapixel camera built in! Did I mention it's small? Will post some pictures of it later to compare the size to my blackberry and iPhone. It's tiny!

All you have to do is this-
1) Close your eyes and visualize you're the lucky winner of the Xperia X10 mini
2) Let out a big whoop. YOU'VE WON!
3) Think of what your FIRST PHOTOGRAPH on your new phone will be
4) Take your existing Camera Phone and shoot that picture

- There can be only one photograph (and one entry) per person, so choose wisely!
