And I love Lanvin and Alber Elbaz! What started off as an anonymous video on YouTube, hinting at a collaboration between H&M and a mystery designer, is now turning into one of the biggest lessons on viral marketing for the rest of the world. Bit by bit, images are being revealed to give us a sneak peak into the Lanvin-H&M collection, and are causing so much hype and furor online, that almost every fashion blog I've been on recently, has the two pictures that have been released. Yes, the clothes look FABULOUS, the quality looks great, and the Lanvin (and Elbaz) touch is definitely there. But as someone interested in Marketing, it is so interesting to see how H&M has used the new type of Online marketing, where people live and breathe on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, so effectively to first generate interest in figuring out who the latest collaboration would be. That is, of course, until the final video hit, confirming the collaboration.
In case you've missed it, here are the 2 images-
Images of the full line will be published online on November 2nd, followed by a fashion show at the Pierre Hotel in New York on the 19th, with the collection going on sale only at the New H&M store in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, Vegas a day after. The rest of us mere mortals will have to wait until November 23rd to be able to get our hands on some goodies. Unless you decide to get lucky in Vegas of course.
