If you're a hardcore gamer, or even if you just LOVE your PSP, this news will make you very, very happy indeed! Tech blog Engadget has today uncovered the details behind a Playstation phone that Sony has apparently been working on, and is due for release sometime soon. The device apparently is running Android 3.0 and has a special Sony Marketplace that allows you to download Playstation games onto the device. If this is real (and it is) it is going to KILL competition and be THE phone of the future. Sony Ericsson have always done an incredible job of having incredible looking phones that have all the bells and whistles- you only need to look at the Xperia X10 to understand what I'm talking about. Where (according to me of course) Sony Ericsson fails in the market? Their pricing and availability. The phones usually get leaked and create so much hype and keep getting postponed and postponed... that by the time they're finally out, they look like old news. If the Playstation group is involved in this project however, and they must be, the execution of this device will be flawless! You really can't beat an open Android system, full PSP games and a Sony trademark kick-ass camera installed in a device!
I have it pretty much confirmed that this phone is in fact real, but that's really all I can say for now. In the meantime, look at the pictures below (taken from the Engadget website) and drool!
