Louis Vuitton ads- inspiring or misleading?

I saw this new Louis Vuitton ad at the movies earlier tonight (while watching 'The Killers' AKA Dumbest movie ever made) and my first thought was, "Wow Emirates ads have gotten boring!"Where is the Marc Jacobs quirky touch? Where is the nostalgic Andre-Steffi combo that worked so well for their print ads? Or the more recent Leibowitz/Baryshnikov pairing? Apparently this ad is around 2 years old, but I've never seen it before.

In more LV ad news, the British Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) has banned the following ad by the French company-
No, it's not banned because the ad lacks sex appeal (or Madonna!) it is because the ASA considered the image to be "misleading." Their view is that since LV has machines that make their bags, and not women toting needles and thread, the ad doesn't accurately depict the proper origin and making of the products. Really?? How do any wrinkle creams advertised by Botoxed and surgically lifted actresses ever get passed?? Or labels on designer clothes that say "Made in Paris," where only the packaging (or the label itself) was indeed made in Paris and not in India or China? Strange!
